EAPG / Art Glass, Tulip Salt Shaker, Fostoria #1013, ca. 1898
- A fantastic piece of early art glass from the Fostoria Glass Co - a large shaker with the blown shape of a tulip bud. Raised petals encircle the glass body, with alternating petals having a pink fired-on coloring. A light green fired-on wash above the petals adds just the right amount of color to suggest a tulip blossom. Topped off with what should be the original lid, this shaker is a must-have for any collection! (ref: Lechner book II, pg 90)

EAPG Rope Bands / Argent Footed Salt Shaker, US Glass ca 1891
- A simple pattern that is explained by one of its names, 'Clear Panels with Cord Band'. The cord bands run top and bottom of the glass body, which also has four fairly thick, raised vertical ribs, evenly spaced around. This shaker is somewhat scarce, as most reference books fail to mention its inclusion in the Rope Bands pattern. (ref: McCain book, pg 440; Peterson 1-K bk, pg 170-P)
