Another shaker that displays patterns used by the J.D. Bergen cut glass company, but no reference found for this particular design. Double-wide Punty bands with mitered X's between them are separated by deep miters and narrow notched prism bands. Each double-wide punty band has ten punties, two abreast by five, top to bottom.
Produced by the J.D. Bergen cut glass company, as shown in the Ever's reference book, pg. 129. Deep miters separate wide bands with star cuts, from narrow notched prisms. The wide bands have punties, top and bottom, with a flat star cutting in the center and enclosed by intersecting miters.
Deep miters separate notched Prisms - 12 vertical rows worth - that completely encircle this cut glass shaker. The Sterling lid has regular round and star shaped holes, as well as raised scrolls and curlicue designs.
An unusual cutting to this antique shaker - columns with miters that create stars and blocks, with elongated punties! The punties are 1-1/4 inches tall and reflect/refract the light like large jewels. The lid appears to be pewter or similar, with a glass insert dispenser. This is a true Oldie!
A very neat individual salt shaker cut with a central band of diamond-shaped Blocks, with cut Facets above and below. Topped off with a Sterling silver lid, with a Mother-of-Pearl insert dispenser. Only 1-½ inches tall - these individual shakers are seldom found nowadays.
