- The body of the shaker is opaque satinized opalware, with a fired-on yellow-colored wash that darkens as it nears the top. This style of vivid and realistic coloring shown in the hand-painting is seldom found on most Mt. Washington egg shaker glassware.
- According to reference books, true Verona doesn't use a fired-on color, but this pansy decoration follows the Verona criteria. It has three long-stemmed flowers, two on the front and one on the backside, in three colors: pink, blue and yellow. Regardless, the shaker is a thing of beauty!
- The shaker measures 2¼" tall, and approx. 2" at its widest. Only very minor wear to some of the hand-done decor and no damage to the glass or lid. The original lid shows wear and tear through the years, but screws on tightly.
